For Aunt Peggy...

San Francisco has been tons of fun so far. I'm living in the heart of the city and enjoying my job at Rapleaf. I've used the weekends to explore the city quite a bit, ranging from a boat ride with Holly around Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge to fireworks in Fisherman's Wharf on the Fourth of July.

I've had one "escape" from the city so far...I attended CampLeaf last weekend, an annual camping retreat near Lake Tahoe for all the Rapleaf employees and their families.

Despite Mark Twain's warnings, the weather has been (almost) perfect during the days...though apparently I live in the warmest part of the city, which is about 15 degrees warmer than the coolest part of the city!

Some Fun Pictures:

Outside my apartment the first weekend (the annual gay pride parade)...

Sea lions that enjoy hanging out at Pier 39...

My favorite entrepreneur - the "Bush Man." The Bush Man hangs out in Fisherman's Wharf (one of the most crowded areas with tourists), and he pretends to be a bush. As people get close to him, he says "BOO!" and moves the bush towards them. He has been doing this for more than 20 years.

Thank you Travis! I always enjoy reading about your adventures. Sounds like this one has gotten off to a great start.
