Seeing a two week old zebra
Getting charged by a hippo (luckily we were in a motor boat and not a rowboat like the fisherman nearby!)
Eating dinner surrounded by grazing warthogs
Having amazing pineapple for breakfast every morning
Attending a goat roast with the Harvard provost
Getting to know the amazing doctors and staff at the hospital and clinic
Going to the Millennium Villages Project site just south of here (you take a dirt road through miles and miles of banana plantations) and sitting in on a community health worker meeting. It's amazing what you learn--some of the biggest problems are seemingly simple things: they are supposed by be available 24/7 by mobile phone, but few have electricity at home, so they have difficulty charging the phones. The two facilities we visited run on solar power--pretty awesome to see.
Going to the local dance club with some friends and a Harvard professor!
A hot psuedo shower--faucet was at about 4 ft. Still, hot water felt awesome.
Off to Kenya tonight!
