This is Morgan's current math assignment. She had to have at least 4 different solid figures, identify the figures including the edges, vertices and faces and describe in a paragraph her project.
Waddle the Party Duck
My project is a duck. My duck’s name is Waddle. He has five different solid figures, 56 edges, 34 vertices (corners) and 30 faces. He is a multi-tasker because he can party and clean. Waddle can party because his head (sphere) is a Christmas ornament, his tail and beak (cones) are party hats, his eyes (spheres) are party beads and his body (rectangular prism) is a present. He can clean because his neck (cube) is a sponge and he carries paper towels because his legs (cylinders) are paper towel rolls. Waddle is also very cool because his feet (cubes) are styrofoam. Waddle loves to have fun but after he plays he always cleans up!

I am so glad I retired from teaching and tutoring!
Great Job! I will share this with our 3rd grade teachers. You will do very well in the fourth grade.
