1. The cities are very walkeable (i.e. there are sidewalks, street lights, and are relatively safe once you have a sense of where to go/not go)
2. People are very proud of their country and seem to have traveled around as much as they can within their means (i.e. domestic tourism is thriving)
5. The majority of the coffee that people drink here comes from powder. It is nonetheless delicious and I'm considering stocking up for Bangladesh!!
Off to explore Medellin!

3. People are friendlier than anywhere else I've been in my life--both in the cities and in the towns. I've been invited to join a lot of groups of people eating, drinking, singing, dancing all over
4. The sanitary conditions of food are relatively high; in all major cities you can drink water from the tap; I've been eating street food like no one's business and so far, had no stomach issues whatsoever (safer than the food trucks in NYC!)5.
