Happy Thanksgiving

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! I have been in many places for this day, but never abroad without my family. I remember complaining when I was younger about celebrating in places that didn't have thanksgiving. I remember having some sort of yummy pumpkin dish (pumpkin tart, maybe?) in Spain one year.
Last year was a lot of fun, and its own firsts of sorts: it was the first time I hosted Thanksgiving at my place. Both my roommates went home, so my parents flew up and Travis moved in for a few days (a mile can be a long commute sometimes!). The weather was unusually warm for Boston in November--my dad and I went for a run on the river and I wore a t-shirt! We finished our run at Starbucks, and my mom came and met us there. Nothing like that thanksgiving latte.
One of Travis' friends and one of my friends joined us for dinner, so we had a full house. I have a bit of a slanted perspective on the whole thing, but I'm inclined to say everyone had fun (if you've seen how crooked my dining room was, you'll understand! It is the leaning tower of Lincoln Parkway!).
Who knows when (or where) I'll host again. Not sure that I could pull it off on my own--I was really a sous chef last time. Now that my mom has her re-modeled kitchen, she may not settle for the likes of my old oven and second (or third or fourth or who knows because I found it on the street) hand cookware :)
Love you all.
